Proper care and maintenance is a certain way to ensure that your equipment remains longer. But with new devices it can be difficult to know where to start. Thankfully, the air fryer is easy to clean with products that you already have at home.
How many times should you clean an air fryer?
We recommend cleaning your air fryer basket after every use, so that the dirt and grime are not cooked. Small pieces can also burn if cleaning is not done, which you can taste of frying taste.
Give your air fryer a deep clean (inside the unit and coil) in everything use.
How to clean an air fryer
Equipment and kit are needed:
- washing up liquid
- baking soda
- All-purpose cleaner
- Old toothbrush
- Soft sponge/cloth
Method:
- After use, unplug the air fryer and allow it to be cooled completely.
- Take out all the removable parts and separate the component parts.
- Clean each part with warm water and washed liquid solution. Use a sponge or soft side of the fabric to avoid damaging non-stick coating. Work in the basket interval to ensure this.
- If there are any burnt bits of food that cannot be removed by a sponge alone, make baking soda and a paste of water and place it on stubborn parts. Leave it to work for 20 minutes, or, if you are low in time, gently buff this solution with an old toothbrush.
- Rinse the component parts to rinse and dry.
When cleaning a deeply, keep in mind that the main unit of the air fryer cannot drown; It will also need to be cleaned by hand.
- Use a sponge/fabric with a water and washing liquid solution or an all-pest cleaner (try to choose an option of an eco all-pest cleaner to avoid aggressive chemicals).
- Check the heating coil on the bottom edge of the air fryer (similar to a grill unit on an oven) for a specs of grease and dirt. Clean it with a sponge/cloth and water and liquid solution of washing. Ensure that it is well rinsed to ensure that no residual soap is left on the coil.
- All baskets and dry inside the unit, then gather again.
If your air fryer comes with a rotisary basket, it can be cleaned into the sink with water and washing liquid. Use a toothbrush to work in intervals.
Can you clean an air fryer in dishwasher?
While many air fryers come with parts that are dishwashers safe, we will advise against using Dishwasher Every time you use your air fryer. For most parts, it sounds like an overkle, especially when you have used an air fryer for only one thing.
Plus dishwashers usually clean at high temperatures than hand washing, and the chemical makeup of the dishwasher tablet can be more powerful than the classic dish soap. These two factors make for a powerful cocktail that can strip non-stick coating from your air fryer faster than washing. We are not saying that never wash your air fryer into a dishwasher-consider whether the construction of dirt really justifies it.
When you choose to use dishwashers, we recommend putting the component parts on the top rack, if the location allows. The water becomes gentle and not as hot on the top rack.
Make sure you check the manual to find out which parts of your air fryer are dishwashers, if any.
