How should you choose and see after a valuable trippai

I have four tripods, and I choose one that conforms to my needs for work in hand. The legs themselves are tubular, but do not have a spherical profile, which will be strong. Instead, they have a hexagonal profile of a uninterrupted family with round corners. Carbon Fiber vs Aluminum

Two travel tripets of peak design come in either carbon fiber or aluminum. The option of manufacturing materials makes a difference on the weight of the tripod.

Carbon fiber has a better weight-to-power ratio than aluminum. However, it also brings other advantages. First, carbon fibers have a better vibration soaking than aluminum. This means obtaining sharp images, especially with long exposure. Carbon fiber is also more corrosion resistant. As I often shoot under saltwater or armpit, which is corrosive, this resistance is important to me.

In addition, carbon fiber is less affected by changes in temperature and is more flexible to wear and tear over time, less prone to bending and denting than metal.

However, there are also disadvantages. Carbon fiber is more expensive. In addition, with extreme effects, carbon fiber is more at risk of disintegration. It is less environmentally friendly because its production is energy-intensive; The precursor material, pan (polyacariclonitril, a fossil fuel derivative), requires heating up to 3,000 ° C, which leads to a high carbon footprint. The material is also difficult to recycle and its production produces significant waste.

On the other hand, aluminum extract from bauxite ore is also energy-intensive, but aluminum can be recycled indefinitely.

Despite this, peak design has a great environmental credit. Keep your tripod in good position

There is general maintenance information that is applied to most tripets.

Clean and dry the tripod after exposed to wet, dusty, sandy or salty environment. After each use, try to remove dust and dirt from all moving parts including leg section and leg lock. Check and adjust any stress screws from time to time.

It is worth noting that the ball heads are not designed to disintegrate. If you try, you cannot collect it again.

General safety tips

Do not exceed the maximum load capacity and ensure all legs and the heads are safely closed before attaching your camera. Try to avoid prolonged contact for the sun or high temperature, and remove your camera when transporting the tripod.

Although it is clear, then remember to keep the tripod away from electrical sources. Also, be careful where you keep your tripod. You can’t think of two things at a time, and a photographer is often focusing on the camera sitting on the tripod, not where they are standing. Buying tips

There is an old rule of thumb when purchasing a tripod: you have to choose any two -price, stability and weight of three things. I usually add design features and manufacture quality in it. With most things in life, you get what you pay.

Is it strong enough to catch your camera? Can you spread three legs enough so that you can shoot very close to the ground? Is it quite tall so you can see through the viewfinder? If your camera does not have an LCD screen, is the tripod quite long so that you can see the display? How easily does the head adjust, and when you tighten it, it stays in a place or drop? Is it early to deploy? Can you decompose to clean it inside the feet?

With cameras, I always recommend trying a tripod before buying one. When you do, think about the conditions and types of photography in which you will use the tripod. For example, I live in a very curved county, so a little more weight and stability is important to me. I often shoot long exposure from a ghat, and I need my tripod that I have long to look at the railing.

Of course, some people do not have a budget to buy high quality tripod, and a budget is not better than one. However, investing in high quality tripod makes a lot of difference.
