Respect has announced Global availability of the Magic7 Pro, a flagship phone with a 200MP sensor on its telephoto lens. While the phone has been available in China since October, it is now available in several other countries.
Despite having the highest resolution, the 200MP camera isn’t actually the main shooter of the phone. The Magic7 Pro’s ‘Wide’ camera uses a 50MP type 1/1.3 (9.8 x 7.4 mm) with optical image stabilization and an aperture that can switch between F1.4 and F2 depending on the situation. The ultrawide camera also uses a 50MP sensor, although it is a smaller Type 1/2.88 (5.0 x 3.7 mm) model, mated to an F2 lens that provides a 122° field of view.

Although high resolution isn’t an automatic sign of quality, it should give you plenty of flexibility when your optical zoom runs out and you need to start cropping. The company says you can get “100x digital zoom.” By that point, the image will be noticeably soft, despite all the megapixels.

Cameras aside, the Magic7 Pro seems to be a very capable phone. It features Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 5750 mAh battery that you can quickly charge at up to 100W, and a 6.8″ display that’s capable of reaching 1600 nits of brightness at full screen.
