Honor Magic V5 Last month was introduced in China, and it is Rolling for European Markets over the next few weeks. In combination with this, today the on-device AI of the brand phone is highlighting the real-time call translation.
The feature uses “the first on-device of the industry’s big speech model”, which has only 800MB footprint on the phone, while six language packs (Chinese, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian).
Honor says that you can “speak-u-go-go” because the device provides real-time translation, shown in the screenshot above. As it does not wait for a full sentence to end, it is much more comfortable, and an advertising speed has an increase of 38% and a 16% increase in translation accuracy.
Therefore, as long as you are translating from one of the above languages, the entire auto-translation process should be very fast as it is fully handled, and you don’t have to wait and stop while doing translation work, you can simply speak normally.
