My Homemade strawberry pop tarts Filling a flaky homemade protein flour, sweet strawberry protein, and a creamy sweet cheese paneer glass cover would prefer to treat your kidos for a fun, protein-pack breakfast. I like to top the top with rainbow sprinkles because why not. This recipe is just so funny, and pack 9 grams of protein per pop to boot. What is not to love this?!
- Protein-toil! I used mixed cottage cheese in both crust and glaz + vanilla protein powder.
- A fun morning recipe: When you want to get out of breakfast rut, or for special occasions (I made a batch of these pop tarts for my son’s 2nd birthday breakfast and they were such a hit!).
- My toddlers love them: Do I need to say more?!
Highlighting material
- cottage cheese: Mixed cottage cheese again strike! I am also using it in the mirror cover along with the pop tart crust.
- strawberry: I really wanted to include fresh strawberries in this recipe instead of strawberry jams, so I mixed them with vanilla protein powder and reduced the heat to fill the most incredible strawberries.
- Vanilla Protein Powder: You will need it to fill strawberries! It promotes protein and great texture.
- Honey: This is also to fill strawberries! This is my Go-to natural sweetener. Maple or brown sugar will also work, but the taste will change the profile slightly.
- light brown sugar: A little brown sugar in crust flour sets a long way! It adds rich, sweet taste.
- butter: Cold butter is your friend! Get a fully flaky pie crust -like texture and taste that you want cold butter for the pop tart crust.

Yes! If you want it to be more plain, just leave icing and sprinkles. They are still flawed with delicious natural strawberries taste. Just know that the sprinkles will not stick to the pop tart’s crust without glass.
