If you are following closely at this point, you have already seen Lots of sample images From Hasselblad X2D II, and perhaps it is a very good idea of how well it performs. Of course, we have also placed it in front of our studio scene to make it easier to compare its image quality directly with other cameras.
As a note: Ultra HDR of the camera was shot out-of-off-camera JPEG using JPEG mode, which adds a profit map to the top of a standard JPEG. Comparison tool does not support them in such a way that exposes the bright areas of the image, but you can download them by downloading the original file, and open it on the device with HDR display.
Our Test scene is designed to follow the scene Different types of textures, color and expansion types will cope in the real world. It also has two light mode, full light and low directional light to see the effects of various lighting conditions.
Unexpectedly, X2D II’s raws provide excellent quantity of expansion in low ISOS, best perform the A7R V’s 61MP sensor’s single-shot performance and match the GFX 100s II. On its base ISO of 50, it provides the cleanest image of the bunch; GFX 100s II has a slight noise, but still thanks A7R V for its big sensor.
Its JPEG, however, does not capture justice in detail at this stage, looking slightly soft with the best parts of the image, as they do with GFX 100s II. Details are usually still present in JPEG, but they do not stand as much as, at least when 1: 1 is seen (although it is likely to be a very unusual use for images taken on this camera).
The raw high of X2D II also looks good in ISOS, although its croma noise is more noticeable than fujifilm. And while the JPEG engine does not reduce the noise aggressively, it means that it works better in preserving the details.

Back to lower isos, the colors of Husselbad are usually less saturated than Fujifilm or Sony, although in our use outside the studio, we found that it still pleases the skin tone for portrait work. We had no problem with obtaining images that became popped with vibrant colors, especially switched with HDR.
dynamic range
As we have come to expect from this sensor, X2D II has excellent dynamic range in its base ISO, with very little noise. This means that you will not face too much punishment to take an image on ISO 50 to get maximum DR, then promote it in post, compared to taking an image on a high ISO to achieve your desired lightness.
When you are increasing the shadow, its files also hold well, which if you are shooting in a low ISO, you are helpful to protect your highlights with a plan to illuminate the image in the post.
