Harman made red 125 to offer a reasonable amount of flexibility. It states that it has a useful exposure range of EI 50-400, but the EI suggests shooting between 100-200. In one scene, the look can change depending on the exposure and colors, from “strong ‘apocaliptic’ to bright orange and red tones to a more subtle orange and green tone with delicate shade.”

The company states that thick grains with more major shade and dark red have a minimum result. In comparison, the over-exposure produces good grains with different tones, bright, more contrasting images. The normal exposure results in a more consistent orange ton with a soft shade.

Harman Red 125 uses a DX-coded cassette, so competent cameras can read relevant information about the film automatically. It also uses standard C41 processing, making it easier to develop.
