Lewis Hamilton Keep your Azerbaijan Grand Prix FP2 headline results down to change your braking set-up, as they feel that Ferrari’s progress is becoming clear in the 2025 Formula 1 season.
While the Lakeler was leading the Times in the FP2 before the final hurry of high-fuel long runs, Hamilton benefited with the help of his team partner with a to-order to go to the top of the order on his final flying run of the session.
Hamilton was ranked 13th during the FP1, in a session, which he described as “a mess” due to lack of confidence under braking – hardly an ideal landscape when dealing with heaps of 90 degrees corners.
He felt that the breaks were “right” in the second Friday season, although it did not want to be very optimistic, given that it was just practice.
“I would say that P1 was a bit messed up; this is a circuit where you should have confidence of mega on a break and I had some problems with the break,” Hamilton explained after FP2.
“Every track i’m running for the first time Ferrari In that circuit, it is not easy to pay attention to it. We made some changes in the P2 and the brakes were finally doing the right thing.
“I was really able to take some big advantage in the matter of receiving on a break. Was really happy to see the progress and it goes to show just the direction we are going as a team. I am really grateful to everyone’s patience and everyone is working so hard because we are really starting to see progress.”

Meanwhile, Lakeler felt that he could be greater than himself during practice. Till when he was excited about Ferrari’s performance, he said that McLaren In Friday sessions, despite the misfortune of the Wocking-based team, there was “in another world”.
Monagaska, who secured the final four poll positions on the proposal in Baku, suggested that his hopes of victory in the Azerbaijani capital may have to wait for a while.
“It was fine. I think there is a lot of ability, especially coming to me. I have done a great job today, but overall we look very strong,” said Lakeler.
“So that’s good. But, and a big, but, it seems that McLaren is in another world, literally. And I think people will be very surprised tomorrow because the lands did not finish some laps which were very, very impressive.
“I suspect that we will be in a fight with them. But compared to others, it seems that we are in a good place.
“I don’t think there is a fight to win now. But never say. I think in 2021 and in many merits here, I felt it was not possible. And in the end, we have made it. So I will keep my hopes high. But it is not possible.”

Frederick Vasasur, the principal of the Ferrari’s team, was still pleased with his team’s early pace in Baku, however, like a Lakeler, indicated McLaren’s unknown final speed as a benchmark. He also suggested that, vs. Mercedes-operated cars, Ferrari had replaced Vik in FP2.
Vasasur told Sky Sports Italia, “Dreaming is never a good thing. We need to focus on what we are doing. Margine is very tight. McLaren did not manage to fulfill a sharp lap, but they were also fast.”
,Mercedes Probably the engine was not used for its full capacity, which means that tomorrow’s situation would be the same as we saw this morning, everyone is very close together.
“Race simulation is also important. We made only 4-5 laps, but it has gone very well. We have to focus on ourselves and get the most of what we have. It was a good Friday, but we do not know the level of fuel of others and we have not seen their real abilities.”
