This week Google Keep users are being prompted to “reload” their notes, while there’s also a small design tweak on Android that turns corners.
In the past, a blue “Reload Keep” banner appeared when opening the Android or iOS app: “New features are available in Keep. Your notes will be saved before reloading. This may take some time.”
All your notes are first saved to the cloud and then deleted from your device. This download process takes a few minutes to complete, especially if you have a lot of images. You can tap “Snooze” to temporarily hide the message, such as if you’re not on Wi-Fi.
There are no obvious changes after this update. By now, we have seen this message on all our mobile devices. Reloading is not a new action/prompt, but it seems like all Google Keep users have received it in the last 24 hours.
During this time, Version 5.24.492.x Google Keep for Android makes a small change to Sheets in Notes. They all now have rounded top corners. This includes plus, color + background and overflow menus, as well as remind me later.
The update is being rolled out widely today. It follows the big FAB (Floating Action Button) redesign Last month, which has not come to the iOS app.
