The feature is one thing, but not all wireless MIC systems can come out of signal intervention and loss. When there is no place for re-dos in the project, it can be an MIC system for you.
With every brand that comes with compact and multi-interface wireless microphone, getting good audio for video products has certainly become very easy. However, these convenient equipment are not free from weaknesses. Simple wireless MIC systems are convenient because they reach certain frequencies, but what do you do in an environment where dozens of other devices are working around?
Sarmonic K9
Sarmonic K9 A digital ultra high frequency (UHF) is a wireless microphone system designed for important professional presentations, including recording clear and crisp audio without any margin for error. It operates in a wide frequency range of 550-960 MHz with ownership LNA technology and covers 130 DB dynamic range with 32-bit float recording on each transmitter. The 2-Transmitter kit involves a complete set of variable attachments and accessories to provide both in capturing the user flexibility and accurate sound.
What’s in the box?
Sarmonic K9 comes in a custom-made padded hard case, with internal foam dividers especially cut for each component. It comes with two transmitters and a receiver (which we will talk down and more detail) and three sets of antennas including four per sets, which are named frequency range: 863–960 MHz, 614–698 MHz, and 550-608 MHz. Each set consists of one antenna for each transmitter and two for receiver. A pair of XLR on the second layer of the carrying case is with a 3.5 mm TRS cable with a locking screw on the barrel, 3.5 mm TRS for TRS cable, and USB-C from USB-C with USB-C charging cable. Inside a small hard case, there is a pair of 3 mm miniature lavailier mix called the smallest in the industry. These MICS IP67 are water-and dust resistant to encourage use in adverse weather and locations, and use liqueur-reinforced cabling that makes them additional durables for wear and tears on the set.
In addition, the package comes with eight sets of color-coding tabs, which can be placed on a specified slot on each device for easy and more efficient identity if many sarmonic K9 wireless microphone sets are ever used. There are also three wire clips that connect from the back of each device, as well as a cool shoe adapter to mount the receiver on a camera.
Transmitters
Each of the two transmitters measures 61 x 80 x 22 mm and weighs 130 grams. On the upper third of the front surface is the 1.5 -inch color display with three indicators above the lights that reflect the recording status, electric status and audio input. The lower two-thirds of the front panel is made of a door that opens through the two-release buttons on the sides and reveals four buttons to control two AA battery slots, microSD card slots just above the battery and the interface. On the left is a power button that doubles as a return button; There are directional buttons to navigate the two menu list in the middle; And the most correct button is for selection. On the upper left is a USB-C port that allows the battery to be charged (if used with rechargeable AA batteries) or provides external supplementary power either in a power source or power bank. The right is a headphone port for instant sound monitoring on the right. The top surface is a screw-on port for the antenna of choice, 3.5 mm input with locking threads for LAV mike, and a slot for the color tab.
Each of the transmitters has a limit of over 200 meters in an unpublished and intervention-free setting; However, it will vary when surrounded by physical and signal obstacles. It has an RF output power of 10, 25, 50 or 100 MW; However, the option of 100 MW is available only in the United States. The transmitter has a RF Frequency Step of 100 KHz, a bandwidth of 200 kHz and a frequency interval of 500 kHz. It provides less deformation of less than 0.5% and delay of less than 6.4 ms. It offers high-resolution audio with 48 KHz and 32-bit audio recording on the onboard on microSD card. It has a 9 -hour estimated battery life and also supports charging, charger -related recording in 2.5 hours.
The short lavellier microphone comes with a small 3 mm omnipotent mike head with 110 dB dynamic range, more than 68 dB SNR and less than 3% deformation. It comes with a 1.8 meter cable with an end of a locking 3.5 mm and is rated to be IP67 water and dust resistant.
Receiver
The receiver measures 67 x 90 x 21 mm and weighs 162 grams of belt clip and antenna. The upper third has a slightly larger 1.7-inch color display with three indicators of lights, which reflects the power position, and a light for the position of each transmitter’s connection. There is a small secondary screen on the upper surface of the receiver, which is in the middle of the two antenna connector ports, which makes it easier for the operator to see the connection and input position from the back of the camera. There are two 3.5 mm ports for the output above the small screen that can be used either with only one TRS cable or XLR cables for two TRS based on cameras, mixers or recorders. The output for both ports can be adapted to give either separate channels for each transmitter or uniform output for contingency. The lower two-thirds have a similar battery door that reveals the button similar to the battery slot, microSD card slot and transmitters. It also has a USB-C charging port on the left and a slot for color-coded tab on each side.
It has a 180-200 meter transmission range based on environmental conditions and sources of intervention. It is rated with a deformation less than 0.1% and a delay of less than 6.3 ms, with a sensitivity range of 20 Hz to 20 KHz. The receiver has an 8 -hour battery life and also supports recording when charging fees in 2.5 hours.
Timekode
Sarmonic K9 can be used in combination with Timkode generation functions with third-party Time Kodes generators or equipment. More efficiently, it can be used through the downloadable mobile app that allows an one-tap timekode sink to align audio and video sources in each frame, reducing the time required to manually sink audio and video sources. This app can control 48 devices in real time for spontaneous use even in highly complex production setup, and allows for remote adjustment of frequency, advantage, grouping, timekode sinks and even remote real -time monitoring without physically adjusting each piece of system.
Application
Sarmonic K9 is a high specific and highly adaptable option for wireless audio recording. Although it can be used for more casual social media content manufacturing, it is designed for high-mang presentations and shoots, with very little space for error or there is no possibility of retake. Due to the fact that it operates on a wide range of high frequencies that can be set manually, this wireless microphone system is best for live events and broadcasting. In addition, since the lavelear mike is dust-and water-resistant, it provides better assurance in rugged places where the persons speaking are in contact with elements. However, it is important to preserve the receiver and transmitter units relatively for safety.
The overall form and layout of the transmitter and receiver units are easily designed and the user’s workflow is estimated. The buttons are inadvertently hidden within the battery door to avoid button press when the transmitters are mounted to the back pocket of the speaker or similar spaces. The use of standard size AA batteries makes the backup batteries easier for source and gives the user a completely more option. At the same time, as a backup remedy, external supply can be used in unexpected conditions, being able to charge or maintain electricity from external supply. The secondary screen of the receiver provides better user experience for someone operating behind the camera and keeps the performance at the eye level.
At more technical level, the ability to select frequencies to operate is a huge advantage, especially when working together with other teams-in large-scale production, a live event coverage, or on-location news broadcasting. As an additional safety measure, onboard recording with increased capabilities of 32-bit float audio can offer a backup for important conditions that can be wasted by signal intervention. Alternatively, it is very easy to sink with many audio and video sources through independent audio recording frame-specific timekode, and the capacity of the app to handle multiple equipment simultaneously for both synchronization and remote adjustment is a huge feature factor.
overall, Sarmonic K9 Audio is a silly option for transmission and recording when the requirements are important. While it is necessary for the shoot, it takes important familiar and accurate adaptation to match, the complete control of transmission and recording allows the user to work with very few rooms for failure. As we see more and more compact and plug-end-level wireless microphone on the market from hundreds of different brands, it is good to see that highly specific professional-level audio tools are also getting significant upgrades.
