For Android, Gmail introduced a new “quick answer” interface inside the email last year, but Google is changing it with a simple dock bar.
With quick answer UI, Gmail was aiming for a messaging app-inspired design that allows users to write/create while watching and referring to emails. Google said the interface was “best for quick, light reactions.”
It was widely rolled out for Android In August last yearBut Google Finally drawn This for the workpiece users due to “performance and quality” issues. It was available for individual accounts. (Note: Google did not roll it for users testing AI features in workspace laboratories.)

Quick Answer UI has now gone to accounts that we have checked today. Its place is a constant toolbar for the answer, answer the answer, forward, and emoji responses. These are the same actions that were seen only when you scroll under an email.
It is docked at the bottom of your screen and is available as soon as you scroll and read. This reduces the available screen real estate, but the cut is not particularly rigid. If you have a bottom strip to be chat and/or enabled, the docted bar is stacked (although the navigation disappears on scrolling).
This docked answer time is not widely rolled yet, but is visible on half of the equipment/accounts that we have checked today. Gmail 2025.05.04.x On Android.
