When a couple discovered the 1973 modernist structure of Ray Cuppe, neglected for three decades, he only gave some recognition beyond architectural ability. The house was detected by unity in its landscape, trees and structure over time. This natural integration talked directly Owiu design Sensitivity – one that emerged from the years of agitation between Singapore, various Asian cities and their adopted los angeles.
Glass ridge house There is a renewal that comes out through a series of thoughtful interventions that respects the relationship with both Eastern philosophy and California’s landscape. Again the pool flows originally in the hill scenes, while a pond wraps around the entry, is punctured by a minimum Japanese rock garden. Each window frames either water, tree, or hills, making the existing nature as an interior experience as an integral as any piece of furniture or light stability.
Tea bar represents another careful balance of tradition and innovation. The texture prepared by marble, including custom ceramic tiles by the Japanese artist. Tomonary HashimotoWhose work includes rice and millet in rainbow shining surfaces. This dedicated place accepts the formal importance of the TEA by maintaining isolation from more utilitarian functions of the kitchen – a spatial hierarchy that reflects cultural preferences.
An important attraction is his cooperation with Kuboki Tatami, which has been working as a family workshop from Fukushima province since 1740. Instead of considering Tatmi as a museum piece, Owiu integrates this traditional craft into a contemporary setting, in which linings are used to provide heat and flexible seating with sunken living room. It is further extended to the bedroom where a custom black tatmy treatment likes their bed frame.
