“I think we’re hitting bottom,” Patrick de Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, told Fox Business. “We could stay within five to 10 cents a gallon of today’s national average of $2.99 for the next week or two. We could start moving around that be it Christmas or New Year By a nickel or a dime. “It won’t be much, but then we’ll start a seasonal increase in mid-February, when prices will start to rise more clearly.”
