This year is an attractive blend of drivers on the GB4 record-breaking grid. The introduction of a new car (a modified version of the old GB3 machine) has helped to create a discussion about the second-tier junior single-seater championship of the Motorsport Vision and an impressive line-up of 24 drivers is due to gathering in Donington Park for this weekend-weekend opener.
but while Car racing debut for David Coolthard’s sons And John Magnesen made headlines in winter, one of the most complicated names in the admission list should be a former Mercedes Junior, who has not run the car for 20 months and has been given an unexpected second chance.
To keep it clearly, Daniel Ginchard was not expecting racing in single-seats this season. “This year I started my coaching business and he was about to focus on my focus for the year and then everything turned upside down,” says 18 -year -old. He received a phone call just before Christmas from Hilspaid Squad Ginchd’s boss Richard Olerenshow, which was first tested, stated that there was an inauguration in his GB4 line-up. Gincherd did not need to ask twice: he was handed over a lifeline to revive a car racing career, which had never reached heights.
Ginchord was expected to be great things when he came to the British Formula 4 in 2022. He had fulfilled the unprecedented achievement of winning two separate British junior carting titles last year, resulting in an achievement that he was signed by Silver Arrow Books. But it proved to be a “difficult” campaign with Argentina Motorsport as he finished ninth on the table with a solitary win in Croft.
“There was a new F4 car and separate teams were getting it right and there were no other people – I was in the right place at the wrong time,” reflects Ginchard, which says that the mastery of the new Pirelli rubber in merit proved to be a special challenge.
He then ended a winter, during which he overtakes Mercedes, and he eventually ended in Chris Deitman Racing for the next season. Eventually, the high hopes were again collapsed between some mixed results and the budget went into mid -year.

“But this is the game and you have to go again,” the ginchord continues. “This is definitely not a straightforward a few years. But I learned a lot – it made me very strong as a person and I think it is definitely going to help this year.”
Gincherd says that he is now making “more ruckus” to take maximum advantage of the hill opportunity. He spent the time of racing carts in Germany last year – to keep faster in the country in 2020 – to keep it fast and GB4 is aimed at hurrying from the beginning.
Despite not driving the car for more than a year, he was at the immediate speed during the Media Day test (although these times should not be examined too much) when against the rivals who spent the circuits in the winter in the pound. And he is driving the new GB4 Challenger. Ginchord says, “It is good and can already be quite sharp.” “The car is amazing to drive – this is a proper driver’s car and you can really give it to the rise. As soon as I went in, it looked very natural.
Gaya GB4 days are barely in double figure – instead it appears revived this year.
“One year is a long time of a year, especially when you are young. I don’t have that luxury to spend a full budget on tests … It was good to run on the ground.”
Gennhards admit that securing the budget is still a problem, but still it is convinced to increase the title bid title this year. However, as was already there, it would be against the lack of drivers. The Gon GB4 days are barely in double figures in the fields – the category appears revived this year, joining the field with hosting new teams.

Another Douglas Motorsport’s Luke Hilton-Ek driver Ginchard to influence during the test is well known that the pair were team partners in the first carting. Hilton also had an unconventional route in the series to be held in the Fiesta Junior Runner-Up in 2023. He ran a radical race last year and is now going only on the single-seater route.
Elite Motorsport Trio Isaac Phelps – Last season, a Ginta Junior Frontner – Alex Kattolas and Arya Bansal also looked promising, while Lyon Wilson (Order) is one of the sophomore drivers to see.
For Gincard, he is busy busy to be part of the championship. “It was a great surprise when it all came together,” he believes. “This was a good Christmas current.” But the biggest gift of all for Gincard would be for him to reach the capacity shown in carting all those years ago.
Can Ginchord distribute on its new GB4 chance?
