There is no injury. Air traffic was briefly stopped as a precaution, but the operation has started again since then.
Frederick W. Smith, founder and former executive chairman Fedex, Death on Saturday, the company announced. He was 80 years old.

Smith recently served as the executive chairman of the firm and focused on board governance, as well as issues of global importance, including stability, innovation and public policy.

He stepped aside in 2022 and was successful by Subramaniam, who was the company’s operating head at that time, the Reuters.
“As we begin to process this tremendous loss, it is important that we take care of each other and demonstrate the passion and compassion that Fred has embodied every day. In the coming days and weeks, I know that we all will find ways to honor their memory and pay homage to their legacy,” Subraman concluded.

Fedex operations now include 705 aircraft, more than 200,000 vehicles and about 5,000 operating facilities, according to its website. More than 500,000 employees around the world almost handle 17 million shipments Each day in Fedex.
“Fedex changed our way to live and trade,” former President George W. Bush, Who was Smith’s fraternity brother in Yale, said in a statement.
