Formula 1’s own flagship platform, F1 TV, has been honored after being named Apple TV App of the Year at the 2024 Apple App Store Awards.
A total of 17 apps and games were declared winners at the event in California, with App Store editors selecting F1 TV as the honoree from a list of 45 finalists.
F1 TV was recognized for its “best-in-class viewing experience”, with the ‘Pro’ version of the app allowing users in 110 markets – including key territories such as the United States, the Netherlands and Mexico – every Access to the available angle of a Grand Prix, including driver on-board, team radio and data channels.
The globally available F1 TV Access app does not allow live coverage, but does include new features including in-depth shows such as F1 Icons.

Speaking at the awards, Apple CEO Tim Cook praised the winners and the “ingenuity” that led to their success.

“The remarkable achievements of this year’s winners demonstrate the incredible ingenuity that can be unlocked through apps.”
Other winners of the awards include Adobe Lightroom, What If…? An immersive story and squad busters.
