Extraordinary collection of McLaren cars goes up for sale

A special collection of 20 McLaren Road cars related to the former shareholder of the team are being kept for sale.

All models belong to the late Mansoor Ojeh, French-Saudi entrepreneur and former owner of Tag Heur and McLaren Group shareholder, who died in June 2021.

The leading classic car dealer, Tom Hartley Junior, who sold the unprecedented collection of 69 historical Grand Prix and Formula 1 cars for about $ 600 meters earlier this year, has been appointed by Ozjeh’s family in relation to sales.

All 20 cars are the last chassis number of each model, including reputed mcLerenns like The Speedtail, P1, Army and F1, which is the ‘jewel in the crown’ of the collection. The last time of the model ended in a unique color that McClayran later named ‘Mansoor Orange’ – a custom hue was especially used on her cars.

With the exception of F1, which is just 1,810 km, and P1 GTR, which was sometimes used during the McLaren track days, every car remains unused, in factory-controversial position, and maintained under direct instructions by McLaren-one service has never been received.

Under the leadership of Ojjeh, McLaren won the championship of seven construents and 10 drivers. He played an important role in launching the McLaren Automotive and McLaren Applied Technologies Division, which helped the brand cement as a leader in innovation and engineering excellence.

Mansoor Ozjeh’s widow Kathy Ojeh said: “McLaren meant a lot than Mansoor. It was more than business, it was a pure passion and it was in the vein that she cured this unique collection of McLaren Road cars.

“The Last of Legends” car collection is a treasure for our family – reminiscent of the hours we saw each car designing for their specifications. They had an unusual talent for expansion that stun and influenced stuns, a talent that was inspired by a lot of passion for many years with McLaren.

“It is not easy to bid farewell to this very personal collection, but for this it is time to go to your new patron, which is actually ‘attains it’ and it will cherish itself and take care of it the way Mansoor did.”

Zak Brown, CEO of McLaren Racing, said: “Mansoor was a founding father of McLaren as we know today. A large -scale emotional racer and motor vehicle is not a big fan of enthusiastic and McLaren. His collection is very special, I do not know anything to compare with it.”

Tom Hartley Junior, who will oversee sales, said: “I am really humble that the Ojeh family has assigned my business with the sale of their incredible collection.

“I had the privilege of meeting Mansoor on some occasions, and their focus for expansion and praise for fine things in life is clearly reflected in the collection that is still made.

“The offer of this collection for sale will be extraordinary in itself, but the fact that it comes from the house of one of the founding figures of McLaren Automotive, a man is so important in the success of McLaren’s Formula 1, it makes it really unattainable.”
