Panels of Formula 1 stewers will be expanded by the FIA to three to four officers in six incidents of high charge, including 2025 season openers in Australia, can reveal autosports.
The change is included in Article 15.1 of the 2025 Sports Rules of F1, which has been overhale at several places just before the new campaign begins.
The F1 Stewarding panels include three officers, one of which has been a pre-racer to help providing the attitude of the drivers for a long time when stewers rule the events, as well as a stever on each panel appointed by the National Sports Authority, who oversees each race.
Article 15.1 has been replaced to explain that “at least three and maximum four stewers, one of whom will be appointed as the chairman” will be appointed each race from the holders of the FIA Super License (which is different from those earned by F1 drivers).
But autosport understands that the expansion will apply only to six 2025 events which the FIA considers high charge, depending on the previous race on the related tracks.
It is understood that this year in Australia, China, Canada, Singapore, Mexico and Brazil, the race will get a four-staples panels, using other 18 races standard three-person panels.

FIA data suggested events have changed the rules to increase the steviding capacity and resources, the best benefit will be.
The change will allow the additional member of the stewers panel to collide initial reviews and to consider after events.
But the decisions will be made by the full panel – with any major rights instead of additional members – and a chairman will still be appointed in each race.
The theme of F1 Stewarding is controversial in the 2025 campaign.
Last year, there was a lot of discussion about the continuous use of unpaid volunteers to act as stewers. They are offered travel expenses only to judge racing events and other tasks covered under the FIA compliance code.
FIA President Mohammad Ben Sulem has said that he is open to permanent steovers, but he has questioned that in 2024, late autosport in 2024, saying that he should pay for him that “(driver) does not want to pay for it”.
