Disney Cruise Line has done this. disney treasureA new ship designed for seven-night adventures has reset the bar for top-class Disney cruise adventures. This is definitely my new favorite ship in the line’s fleet.
The cruise line found inspiration in the settings of some of Disney’s best-loved stories, like “Aladdin” and classic theme park attractions, like the Haunted Mansion and the Jungle Cruise, and brought them to sea on the new Disney Treasure, which will officially debut later this month. Will set out on its maiden voyage.
But that’s just the beginning of what puts Trezor in a class of its own.
I’ve flown on (almost) every Disney Cruise Line ship, including both of its newest ships – disney wish And now Disney Treasures – so I’ve seen what this cruise line can do. Here are four brand new offerings you’ll only find on Treasure that, when combined, propel the ship to the top spot in my Disney Cruise Line fleet lineup.
Disney Treasures’ modern decor matches the rich, detailed design
Wonder! I’m not going to start by telling you how much I love the new Haunted Mansion-Themed Bar On Disney Treasures, although I do enjoy it.
What has earned Disney Treasure its status as a favorite Disney ship is not any one bar, restaurant, location or attraction. Instead, it’s an experience you live through the bold but warm and inviting colors, patterns, and textures found throughout the pottery.
While Disney Treasures has a similar footprint to Disney Wish, the look and feel is completely different. It’s almost like comparing the Magic Kingdom and Epcot – they’re both Disney World theme parks but offer completely different vibes.
Disney Wish is undeniably cute and adorableBut it invokes Cinderellas, princesses, storybook castles and fairy tales. While there are a lot of intricate details on the Wish, my photos also show areas with more vividly colored walls and carpeting than those seen on the Treasure.
At Disney Treasures, you’re met with layers of intricacies against a backdrop of vibrant details. In fact, it feels like you’ve boarded a ship that isn’t looking for treasure; It has already been found in abundance.

The jewel tones, rich color palette and thoughtful designs will remind you of some of Disney’s most adventurous tales. The Grand Hall is reminiscent of the fictional city of Agrabah from “Aladdin,” whose carpet design represents a fountain flowing from a garden of jasmine. But if you’re not interested in that story, you can easily look at this place as a nod to destinations like Morocco, Africa, and Asia and the sense of adventure they convey.
You don’t need to tie the design to Disney stories to get the full effect — but if you’re a Disney fan, the thoughtful details will take your experience to the next level.
When it comes to cabins on Treasure, you’ll find styling similar to what you see on the Disney Wish.

Fun art and design are balanced with a modern, neutral aesthetic. As much as I love a quartet of old Disney ships (Magic, Wonder, Dream and a missing ship of mine, the Fantasy), the design of those rooms has remained largely unchanged since the late 90s and early 2000s. They retain a bold nautical design. I really like the cabins on the two newest ships.

Plaza de Coco: A New Favorite Disney Cruise Line Restaurant
I predict that Plaza de Coco will soon become one of the most beloved restaurants on disney cruise line,
The physical setting is undoubtedly my favorite of any Disney Cruise Line family restaurant, with its warm party lights, painted chairs, greenery and bright colors that transport you to a plaza in a Mexican village. Like its counterpart on Disney Wish, Arendelle: A Frozen Dining AdventureThe room is large and would be crowded on a normal sailing, but a few key differences set the Plaza de Coco apart.
First of all, the menu is Mexican-themed, featuring churros, enchiladas, and other Mexican specialties.
Not only is the menu here likely to be more popular with families than the Scandinavian menu you’ll find in Arendelle on the Disney Wish, but the music and festive live entertainment at Plaza de Coco is also likely to have broader appeal – and Even an emotional impact — compared to the “Frozen” characters who take center stage in Arendelle.

Extravagant Disney Treasure Bar
One of the most hyped and most unusual new spaces you’ll currently find only on Disney Treasure is the Haunted Mansion-themed bar, though it’s far from the only notable bar on this ship (and yes, kids are allowed to stay until 9 p.m. Allowed to go inside till ).

I have never experienced a bar like the Haunted Mansion Parlour.
this is not “Star Wars”-themed Hyperspace Lounge Which you can find at the same location on Disney Wish. Not to mention the Hyperspace Lounge, but the decor was never its strong suit. Now, after experiencing the Haunted Mansion Parlour, I will say that it took the concept of the Hyperspace Lounge (shown below) and went light-years ahead with a truly immersive experience.

The Haunted Mansion Parlor is filled with ambiance, detail, and immersion without any “white spaces.” The pictures (sans?) come to life, and there are so many scary special effects that you won’t notice them the first time you watch.
For example, where you sit matters as some chairs provide different listening experiences. Details easily missed in the dimly lit room (such as written notes) reveal new information about the story behind the parlor only during certain “magical moments”.
What I love about this place is that you can choose to enjoy the unique ambiance instead of smoky cocktails, or you can dive into the details and enjoy the entire room during your seven-night cruise. It can take several visits examining all the clues spread out.
While I highly appreciate the Disney Imagineering and storytelling brought to the Haunted Mansion Parlour, I prefer the Scat Cat Lounge for actual drinks and a more traditional bar moment. It won me over with its schedule of live piano music, rich and playful design and innovative cocktails like the Strawberry Jam, which is made with gin, lemon and bitters and comes with a jar of strawberry jam that you can dip into to sweeten your drink. Can add for.

Scat Cat Lounge is also a good example of a venue where the physical footprint is not exactly the same as Disney Wish, as the location of the actual bar within the venue is different from the location of its predecessor, Nightingale. This allowed some bar stools to be easily placed just outside the main footprint of the lounge in the open-air bar in the Grand Hall, something that was missing in the Disney Wish.
Skipper Society Lounge and Periscope Pub are two more lounge locations on Disney Treasure that are inspired by Disney park attractions – Jungle Cruise and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage, respectively.
Both places also made my favorites list because they were full of interesting details and imaginative cocktails. At the Periscope Pub, which makes you feel as if you’re aboard a submarine, the terrace above you looks out over the ocean with waves, changing light and floating creatures.

You can order a daiquiri that has a smoke bubble over the top and is served in a glass with tentacles for a stem so it looks like a jellyfish. This is another great example of the level of detail that takes Disney Treasures from good to great.
The best theatrical shows on Disney ships are found at Disney Treasures
I can’t declare “Disney’s The Tale of Moana” as the best dramatic show at sea because I certainly haven’t seen other cruise line-produced shows. However, TPG’s cruise editor and theater buff, Erica Silverstein, assured me that if it’s not the absolute best, it’s certainly in the top five.
However, I can enthusiastically honor “The Tale of Moana” as being the most entertaining, innovative, heart-warming and authentic show I have experienced on a Disney Cruise Line… and I have experienced some of the best shows .
While I don’t want to spoil any of the show’s best moments by giving away too many details here, you should be prepared to cry, laugh, and gasp all within the same hour.
Much of that magic lies in Disney’s care in incorporating authentic Hawaiian and Asian-Pacific cultural consultants, actors and dancers in this first major adaptation of “Moana” on stage. The use of low-tech but elaborate effects, including puppets designed by the same team that worked on Broadway’s “The Lion King,” seals the deal.
If, for some reason, “The Tale of Moana” doesn’t become your favorite Disney Cruise Line show, you may find your sweet spot in Disney Treasures’ other major stage show, the iconic “Beauty and the Beast” musical. This used to be at the top of my list of best Disney cruise ship shows before I watched “Tale of Moana.”
ground level
Disney doesn’t just tell stories with its words and movies, it does so with settings, music, and immersive activities. From the moment I stepped into the Grand Hall of Disney Treasures to be welcomed aboard, to the moment I stole another glance before sadly stepping ashore, the entire ship was unique, warm, and an invitation to adventure. be felt.
Some essential details you can’t possibly ignore, while others are only revealed when you stop and take it all in (like the lanterns around the chandelier centerpiece for each of Disney Cruise Line’s six ships Signal).
During my time on Treasure, I didn’t feel like I was visiting someone else’s castle; I was living my adventure. And I sincerely hope that someday I will be able to experience it on a full seven-night trip.
