Google is bringing circles to find Chrome and Google App on iOS, but it is not saying it for any reason. Instead, this is the “search screen with Google lens”.
This will appear as an option in the three-dot menu in both the Google app for the Chrome for iOS and the IOS. Once you choose it, you will be able to use “whatever gestures come naturally”. Examples include “drawing, highlighting, or tapping”.
The main warning here is the main discrimination compared to the Android circle to search, that you are limited to the Chrome and Google app. You can use this system on iOS, of course, because Apple will never allow it.
So you can use this feature “to quickly search a visual search when browsing, as Google says,” without taking a screenshot or opening a new tab “. Therefore, it is most useful in chrome, because the web browser is on your fingers.
“In the coming months”, Chrome will have a new Google lens icon in the address bar that will allow you to access the same feature faster.
The update enabling the search screen with Google lens is rolling out this week and will be available globally in the Google App for Chrome and iOS for iOS.
Google is also announcing that Google lens is getting AI overview like Google Search for questions related to identifying objects. The AI overview “will help you understand quickly what you are looking at”, and will also give you links to “auxiliary resources on the web”.
