It looks like the next Avengers movie is trying to cash in on our nostalgia for the original three installments. This was first confirmed Robert Downey Jr. Will return to MCU, but this time he will play Doctor Doom. At the same time, Marvel alumni Russo Brothers were chosen to direct the film and its sequel, secret warNow, we have confirmation that Chris Evans, who played Captain America in the original Infinity Saga, will be returning to the film.
It’s unclear at this time whether Chris Evans will be reprising his role as Captain America and/or Steve Rogers, but it seems to be a safe bet, even if Anthony Mackie is playing Captain America on the big and small screens. But given that Downey Jr. isn’t playing Tony Stark, anything is technically possible at this various stages. Evans recently reprized his role as Johnny Storm in the MCU deadpool and wolverine, So there is also a possibility that he may play a different version of that character. But for my money, that would be a Rogers version, which allows the original version of the character to live a normal life with Peggy, while audiences get to see Cap toss the shield one more time, unlike Wolverine in the above. No dead pool film.
