It has good earning rates, but the $195 annual fee is high for what you get from this product because you won’t be able to transfer your rewards to Chase’s travel partners for maximum value. Chase Ink Business Premier Welcome Offer

New Ink Business Premier cardholders can earn $1,000 in bonus cashback after spending $10,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening.

This easily makes up for your first year’s $195 annual fee, and is a nice welcome offer compared to similar card options. This is the standard welcome offer that we usually see on this card. Note that you will receive a welcome bonus in the form of 100,000 points, which can be redeemed as $1,000 cashback.

However, many Travel Rewards Credit Card Offer high value welcome bonuses for both business and personal use. And while this is a big bonus for business-focused cash-back cards, most cash-back business cards come with low annual fees.

Apart from a few protections, this card lacks travel-specific features. However, it does have some benefits that can provide value and peace of mind to business owners. Some of these features are similar to those offered by other Chase Ink cards:

Considering that you can get cellphone protection and similar benefits for a much lower $95 annual fee with the Ink Business PreferredĀ® Credit Card, the benefits on this card aren’t particularly exciting compared to the competition.

Earning Rewards on Chase Ink Business Premier

To be clear, Chase Ink Business Premier does not earn transferable Chase Ultimate Rewards points. Instead, you’ll earn:

  • 5% cashback on travel booked through Chase Travelā„ 
  • 5% cashback on Lyft purchases (through September 2027)
  • 2.5% cashback on purchases of $5,000 or more
  • 2% cashback on all other purchases

Unlimited 2% cashback on purchases isn’t incredibly attractive, but it’s a solid return considering you don’t have to worry about bonus categories or spending limits. Regardless of your business spending habits, you know you’re earning a good return on your purchases.

Plus, the 2.5% cash back on purchases of $5,000 or more is a nice perk for businesses that have larger expenses, while the 5% range is great for businesses that expect to book a lot of travel through Chase Travel.

Redeeming Rewards on Chase Ink Business Premier

Cash back earned on Ink Business Premier is tracked as points; Each dollar equals 100 points, so when it comes to redeeming your rewards, you’ll notice that you’re redeeming points.

Cardholders can redeem their points for cash, gift cards, travel and more. Your points are worth 1 cent for any of these redemption options.

Unlike some other Chase cards that earn cashback, you won’t be able to transfer rewards earned with the Chase Ink Business Premier to your other Chase accounts to take advantage of Chase’s airline and hotel transfer partners.

Overall, considering what we know Chase is capable of, the Inc. Business Premier is quite weak. Unless you’re a big-spending business owner and don’t care about flexible travel rewards, there are other options that may better suit your needs.

Is Chase Ink Business Premier worth it?

The lack of ability to transfer your points to Chase’s transfer partners or other Chase cards makes the Ink Business Premier a poor choice for those who want to maximize rewards. If you’re a small business owner and hoping to earn points for rewards travel, we recommend looking at other cards.
