CFL’s bizarre nuclear pant rules hate, beware: The new commissioner of the league is a great fan of it.

Johnson described the highest priority as the league’s office ensuring the integrity of the game, although he also has a strong background in the media. He spent the last 28 years in TSN, including a long term as the chairman of the network. The Toronto native, who was mainly raised in Ottawa, knows the value of viral moments that can draw the attention of contingent fans through digital platforms.
This rule symbolizes one of the biggest resolutions of CFL. Critics argue that some of the League rules are foolish and ancient, while traditionalists argue that they are what makes the league unique and special. It seems that Johnson is ready for a difficult balance act between tradition and innovation.
