CFL’s bizarre nuclear pant rules hate, beware: The new commissioner of the league is a great fan of it.
“I like that rule, I do. You will execute it and you want to work. It seems what is? It is a long -lasting rule and I think it provides entertaining material,” Stewart johnson“We need to continuously improve and mean that we are watching everything. It is constantly improving the safety of the player, continuously improving the rules, improving the rules and continuously improving the rules. Every league in the world does this and so we will review every year what is working and what is not.”
Inside pant, also known as “Dribble Kick”, has become a divisive drama in recent years. According to CFL rules, a player in the possession of football can “pant” a yard and recover it for the first bottom, provided that they cross the line of scribe.
Alouettes have executed some of these plays in recent years, usually the second and longer. Instead of pushing the ball down into the field against deep coverage, quarterbacks have thrown a small outlet near a player who immediately executes an upside -off pant. The result is almost no benefit – but first below.

Johnson described the highest priority as the league’s office ensuring the integrity of the game, although he also has a strong background in the media. He spent the last 28 years in TSN, including a long term as the chairman of the network. The Toronto native, who was mainly raised in Ottawa, knows the value of viral moments that can draw the attention of contingent fans through digital platforms.
This rule symbolizes one of the biggest resolutions of CFL. Critics argue that some of the League rules are foolish and ancient, while traditionalists argue that they are what makes the league unique and special. It seems that Johnson is ready for a difficult balance act between tradition and innovation.
“The great strength of this league is the spirit of the community and I think we have to respect the traditions,” Johnson said. “One of my favorite experiences in all of the gray cup game is, a gray cup host is running on the streets in the city. We need to nourish and protect it, but, we need to grow. We need to grow commercially, we need to find ways to develop the audience, we need to be young, and it is our league offices, our teams, our teams, our teams, our teams, our teams, our teams, our teams, our teams, our teams, our teams.
Johnson also confirmed that Roose is safe for 2025, although it appears that everything for 2026 is on the table.
