After years of hosting loved ones in their 1,450-class foot house, a couple on architect Warren Techninin asked to build a bold backyard house with holiday vibes.
When Physician Vivian Mo first bought this hillseide silver lake property back in 2010, he dreamed of the ability of his envable site, which extended from one road to the top, the other under the other.
Nearly a decade later, Vivian and her husband, fitness instructor Michael Trobisk finally decided to do something with the slope behind her primary residence. In addition to a Ricky deck, who had seen better days long, there was nothing to stop them.
The Hillside Edu has its own entrance in the Silver Lake by the lower road, while the primary residence can be accessed from the road above. Blue lapis tiles clad on one side of the outer by sanio.

“Our house is about 1,450 square feet, and we have lots of friends and families who come to travel,” Vivian says. “They had to either stay in a hotel, or we were all fed up together. Also, I wanted our daughter, Sophie-Ins, a safe place behind the house to play.”
“We can entertain very easily,” homeowner Vivian Mo says, “We host a lot of barbecue.” Deck is made up of IPE boards by BMC Hardwood.
