“This is the best way to eliminate the season, isn’t it?” Cook said. “We have made a lot of speed in the car over all weekends, and obviously did not go for the plan yesterday.
“We knew that we could fight back during the day, and there was a possibility that it could win.
“We (Cook and Sutton) were really texting about it in the week that maybe we would end in a battle, and we did. I wanted to stay away from it because I could see that he had strong pace. I was just hanging for dear life and tried to make my difference.”
