British touring car championship star Tom Ingram The brand hatch is to compete for the first time in the Super Touring Power event.
But Ingram, 2022 BTCC champions and currently in the second place in 2025 standing, will not compete in the super touring race – instead, he will campaign at a Ford Sierra Kosworth RS500 at Group A event.
The Coventry-Deomiced High Vaikombay man has been given the opportunity to run to Sierra, owned by Jeremy Sutton, which has been made famous in the Australian Touring Car Championship, Banson and Hedge Liveri.
The irony is that, Ingram will therefore run a car, which usually battles against its big BTCC rival Ash Sutton leads to ‘saton’ in the back window over the weekend.
Similarly as fellow BTCC Champion Colin Turkington‘S Run in a super touring Vaxhall Wctra in the same event The Northern Irishman will allow the Irishman to tick on a box in his tin-top experience, with the Indian never tastes the taste of group A machinery.
This opportunity became possible as the BTCC team of Ingram works on Sierra, one of the crew members of EXCELR8 Motorsport.

“I will not be able to run it before the race, so I will be very blind in the weekend of the race.”
“I look forward to this. It has come through Max, which is one of the mechanics Tom chiltonThe car, and he drives the car with Jeremy Sutton.
“It would be good. I think it’s a good car. I have run the goods in Goodwood for the pre -ages and this way it will be the first time I have filled the interval.
“I also want to jump into a super tourer, but a RS500 is going to have a fairly eye -opening experience.”
The best hour for Banson and Hedge-Liverid Cyrus came in 1988 when Tony Longharst and Tomas Mezera combined to win Bathst 1000 in Mount Panorama.
In addition to the star drivers who compete on the track, there are special guests of the 1990s era at the Super Touring Power event of 28–29 June.
One of the latest to confirm his presence is Australian Charlie Cox, who ran as an independent in a Ford Mondo in 1995, which became a voice of a series through his comment for the BBC highlights package in the late 1990s.
