Brooklyn, located in a century -old industrial building in New York, A 1,700 square feet of scaffolding A fickle, industrial edge has been replaced. Kisked by Hormuz Batleiboi Batliboi studio For the homeowner Valerie Tswetkova-the beauty brand leads the Creative Services Team in Elizabeth Orden-the two-bedroom, the two-bath residence provides a new interpretation of the ligament ligging life, combining the historical character with modern simplicity.
The original bones of the space – a pre -manufacturing site – set tone to the design language. During renovation, Batliboi hid the long -hidden wooden beams and steel joints behind a fallen roof. Instead of making these relics of the past mask, he bowed into them, allowing the architect heritage to shape the story of scaffolding. Exposed structural elements now act as visual anchors, a authenticity rarely found in a new build while lending to space.
Initially, scaffolding presented a challenge familiar with many converted places: dissatisfied utilities and a strange kitchen layout. Batliboi prepared the floorplan by re -forming the floor in specific areas by centralizing the utility infrastructure and adjusting functional upgrades. This smart spatial change allowed for a spontaneous kitchen integration at the center of the house.
The main living space, especially a highlight for the dining room, has a 15-foot sculpture shelf in the waves of the wall crossed the wall. Its fluid, ribbon-like form is prepared in laminated simultaneously from the layers of CNC-Mild Woid, and the green shade was corrected with the customer’s existing pendant lights. Similar parts functional and artistic, the shelf doubles as a sideboard, emphasizes the habit of Batiboi to convert practical solutions into focal points.
The facilities of sleek stainless steel countertops in the kitchen are added with brass detailing and hot mixture of natural stone. Instead of selecting for a completely custom cabinetry, Buttiboi worked with a flat-pack system ImprovementCarefully stitching the installation for a sophisticated, underlying appearance. This hybrid approach catches a luxury aesthetics without unnecessary excess – an elegant signal for durable design thinking.
Throughout the house, the liberal of contrasting materials and bespoke accent designs reinforce the harmonious feeling yet. In the bathroom, a moody palette comes into life with a deep black zeled tiles, matte black flooring, and a bold granite shower – grows from natural light through a large industrial window. Meanwhile, a mixture of penny tiles and marble in other areas provides a touch and visual imbalance. With its layered materials, custom fabrication and clever use of space, the house feels to survive individual, intentional and freshly.
