Text details provided by architects. Bloodberg School Campus 1 Construction Phase, Elementary School. The city of Bloodberg plans to reconstruct, expand and reorganize the school premises to bring all the different school types together at one place. The first construction phase entered a new building, including a full-time program, a special education and counseling center (SBBZ) as well as a cafeteria for the entire campus. In the second construction phase, the existing primary school building will be rebuilt and extended as the existing secondary school.
For the first phase, a separate building was constructed in the south -east of the existing school structures. This was designed in close collaboration with schools to align with their educational requirements and concepts. Classes are classified into groups of three, each in two small differentiation rooms, around a so -called “marketplace”. This group is a huge, open teaching field for work, entertainment, presentations or personal learning. Classrooms are connected to this central location through blind glass doors and internal windows.
The “marketplace” is arranged in a cloverlif pattern around a central hall, forcing the footprint of the building. The center is designed as the atrium spread over all floors and is illuminated by skylight. An open ladder combines the floor with cafeteria on the ground floor, which is again designed as an open area and also serves as an auditorium for events. The mask opens the south on a newly designed forecourt, which combines the outside complex with collective cafeteria.
The rooms for a full -time program are also located on the ground floor and have their dedicated outdoor areas. The school administration is centrally deployed on the middle floor, due to the sloping area, directly accessible from the upper school garden, and the central level at the ground level.
The building is constructed as a solid construction and has a pre-procured cedar wooden curtain wall on a concrete core. Colorful wooden slats in front of operating windows serve as a decline protection and include low parapet heights and window bands. The green roof is equipped with a photovoltaic system with a capacity of approximately 95 kwp.
