Billionaire Investor Bill Ekman, in a post on social media on Monday, returned his attack on Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnik, first after arguing on Commerce Secretary Profit, if the economy got stuck in the middle of the backlash for President Donald Trump’s tariff.
“It was unfair for me to get out on @Howardlutnick. I don’t think he is following his self -interest. I am sure he is doing the best for the country representing the President as President. It is not an easy task and we do not know how the sausage was made,”
Stock remained unstable On Monday, the investor on Trump’s tariff continued to roam the global markets as pushbacks. Trump threatened China with an additional 50% tariff on Monday morning if Beijing “did not withdraw” 34% tariffs declared against the US last week.
“I am disappointed to see what I believe to be a big policy error after our country and the President is making huge economic progress which is now at risk due to tariffs,” Ekman continued. “I would like to prove wrong and see this approach for tariff and/or their resolve will be very beneficial for our country and global economy.”

Ackman said on Sunday, “Choosing the secretary of Commerce is a bad idea, whose firm takes advantage of a long time fixed income. It is an irreparable struggle of interests.” Ekman said that Lutnik worked for Cantor Fitzgerald.

In a long X post on Sunday, billionaire founder of Persing Square Hedge Fund Management Argued that America “The President is 100% behind the President’s fixing a global system of tariffs who deprive the country,” but insisting that the business is “a trust is a game and trust depends on faith.”

“It’s not what we voted,” said Ekman. “The President has an opportunity for a time on Monday and is the time to execute an improper tariff system. Alternatively, we are going to a self-inspired, economic atomic nuclear winter, and we should start hacking down. Cooler heads may be strong.”
Lutnik was pressed CBS’s Margaret Brainon on Sunday about the tariff declaration, during which he defended Trump’s policies.
