Bagnaia: “We just made all wrong decisions”

“At the last moment, the only possibility of going into the top 10 (again) was to go with the medium rear (wet tires). But we decided to go with soft. It was a wrong strategy.”

“Today we decided to try something that was too long to change (on a bike),” said Bagania. “We missed the moment where everyone did their fastest laptime.

“And then in the last part, I was seeing that it was better to go with medium (wet tires), but the technicians were confident to go with very soft. So I decided to go with his strategy. But it was wrong.

“I think the ability to be in the top 10 was clear and it was there. We only made all the wrong decisions.”

This is not an easy season for the two -time Motogp Champion, and he knows it. Bagania is struggling with traction behind her bike and understands that keeping yourself on the back leg during the race weekend is not something that it can easily overcome.

“Honestly, it is already a complex season,” Bagania accepted. “Where my feeling is not the best (on a bike). If we make the situation even more complicated, it can be a shame, like it was today.”
