Scenek: This place is magic. We make flour, increasing the river, building, eagles overheads. We work with local manufacturers because we want To. It is worthwhile to be able to promote them. I like to say, “He came from the topping spear spring farm. Check them out, they are under the road.”
This is what I like to run this place – you learn a lot about your neighbors. Earlier, we drove our dogs and barely saw someone. Now I know a lot about the history of the city. A neighbor, Dotti, came in, pointed to a table, and said, “It was my kitchen table 30 years ago!”
Course: The members of the community donated the table to the cafe which used to be in space and the previous owner left him in the basement. With a little sanding and staining, we were able to bring them back and people were sitting again for food on them
Scenek: After the closure of the mill, this building used to be an ancient line. When that first cafe opened here, the city rally. They were desperate for a place to gather. Now, with our version, people like Dotty feel that their old furniture is a new purpose. This is not just his table. Its Table where people gather.
Course: Here is a story of each piece. We used everything we could do.
Scenek: If it was not personal then this place would not work. If it was just about the profit, or to outsource everything, it would not seem right. It is a community place. This and George are talking to the neighbors on the way, walking from our house to the hill. Working, making pizza with local materials. Hosting friends and family -My parents come every Friday, our friends were at our first work. One is our neighbor, just two doors are above.
This is a difficult task, of course. This is a small business. But making yourself something and seeing that it becomes a part of daily life.
