It was a hot and rainy afternoon in New York when two electric players, world number one Aryana Sabalenka and World No. Eight Amanda Anisimova met at Arthur Ash Stadium for Women’s Singles Finals at 2025 US Open on Saturday. It was a matchup in which the crowd was happy with joy: while the defending champion, Sabalenka had so far won a major victory this year, Aneesimova – with a thrilling victory over the IGA sweatek in the quarter -finals and Naomi Osaka In Semi – his second consecutive Grand Slam was appearing in the finals, seeking his first major title.
Result? Win for Sabalenka, 6-3, 7-6, became the first woman to win two years at the US Open since Serena Williams in the 2010s.
Things closed for a strong start: Sabalenka fought three break points to hold her first service game and then broke Anisimova to take a 2–0 lead, after Anisimova, the post, hold, and then the break soon gave her a 3–2 lead.
