Arjun had a very bad start in the tournament and he gave away 48 runs in 4 overs against Mumbai. He could score only 9 runs with the bat and Goa had to face a big defeat.
His performance improved slightly in the second match and he gave only 19 runs in his three over spell but he once again failed to take wickets for his team. In the third match against Andhra, he once again took zero wickets and conceded 36 runs in his 3.4 over spell.
Goa have not won a single match in the competition so far and with four losses in as many matches, they are sixth in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Group E points table.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Indians captain hardik pandya He expressed his delight at the way things turned out for them at the IPL mega auction in Jeddah and said that the franchise has “got the right mix” of players.
The star all-rounder said that he has a clear plan to have a mix of young and experienced players.
“I’ve been in touch with the table as well to see exactly what we’re going for, and I think we’ve come out of the auction quite well and what the team is looking like,” he said in an MI video posted on social media. ”
“We have got the right mix, which is experienced players, like Bolty (trent bolt) is back, Deepak Chaharwho’s been around, and also, likes young guns Will Jacques, robin minz And Rickelton, which is fresh.
“So, I think we did pretty well. We covered all the bases.” Explaining the dynamics of the auction, Pandya admitted that although the whole process is exciting, it is important to keep emotions in check, especially when the team is in dire need of a particular player.
“The dynamics of the auction are always intriguing. When you’re watching it live, it’s very exciting, and the emotions are always going up and down because you want this player,” he explained.
