Among all new iOS 26 Tasks Wwdc 2025, Apple The music automics stand-out-a new tool that uses AI to mix songs together in the style of DJ.
It took the Internet from the storm and received a highly positive response, but now that the iOS 26 is completely rolled, users have raised some failures that can tarnish the reputation of the automics – and all of this is to do it with its limited compatibility.
As it stands, automics can only be used on iPhone, iPad and Mac models which are apple silicon-supported. Outside it, the automics is not compatible, which has wrongly rubbed the customers.
The main issue that is raised by disappointed users is the incompatibility of automics with airplay, which allows you to stream music from your Apple Music account to stream music from a compatible device such as speakers or smart TVs. This is essentially Apple MusicIs equal to Spotify Connect, but why is this such a big issue for users?
It is official. Automics is available only on a Mac with iPhone, iPad and Apple Silicon From R/Applemusic
“It seems 100% like an artificial range”
People got so excited about automics that it had a spontaneous and smart audio-mixing capacity, taking the classic crossfed to a new level. Users saw it as an ideal addition to bring life to social ceremonies – until they saw that the airplay does not support it.
Although you can still use automics when a Bluetooth is connected to the device, Airplay is an integral part of Apple’s audio ecosystem, the lack of support here is quite strange here. A user on Reddit (see below) stated that their main use was to stream the automics through the case at Airplay Sonos The speaker, who appeared to agree with many others.
With that, some handful of users reported that when the automics first rolled out in iOS 26 Beta, the airplay was actually working, but at the point there was such a small car where the users disabled it. Some optimists are currently fixing this bug and will roll out airplay compatibility in the next software update, but others begging for separation.
What are other limitations?
It turns out that apart from airplay compatibility, there are other boundaries from which users are disappointed. Apple TV and Homepod are the next biggest issues, but some believe that the automics can come on homepod 2 if it is ever released.
Apple Watch And Android users are also missing from automics promotion, as currently used IntelFor Windows -Appeared Mac and Apple Music App.
While Apple is a community of music fans, who are still enjoying what is bringing on the automics table, other people are not so happy with its boundaries that this facility has been highly praised. The only thing we can do now is that these failures are only temporary, and improvement of automics compatibility will be done in the near future software updates. Perhaps iOS 26.1 will be one.
