promotion: Italian manufacturer Meridiani has released a series of “full and soft” Furniture Pieces designed by its designer and art director Andrea Parisio.
It features a variety of seating concepts and a storage unit designed for use by creatives. Parisio imagined four different seats meridianiWhich also includes a chair and pouf.
According to Meridiani, the collection was launched with a unified aesthetic that works in part, with each piece creating a different aspect of the narrative.
“Each Meridiani product reveals a piece of the brand’s story, expressing an aspect of its identity,” the brand said.
“And Meridiani’s new 2024 seating collection, created by designer and art director Andrea Parisio, is a choral, four-voice narrative that whispers new ideas for furnishing with personality.”
The collection includes the Cosette and Claudine chairs. Each has a circular backrest that wraps around a plush seat, varying by the style of the legs and the shape of the backrest, which also act as the back legs of each.
Claudine has a single front leg that extends from the base of the chair and the backrest wraps around the seat, enclosing it, while Cosette has two front legs that are pushed to the front of the seat and a light backrest.
“The seat is round, and the wraparound backrests integrate seamlessly into the rear legs,” Meridiani said.
“They share the same artistic essence and the same combination of finishes for the feet, but each has its own character, making them complementary and independent products.”
Meanwhile, Janet takes the single-legged, deep-backrest approach used for the armchair Claudine and swaps it out for an adjustable chair, which still appears quite nimble, with a slight rise in the middle of the curved backrest. With a difference where it meets the ground.
One leg under the seat is bent in such a way that “Maintain visual continuity along the edges of the semi-cylindrical backrest.
Meridiani describes the Janet as a chair that “combines fullness and softness in an enveloping design”.
The final piece of the small and sturdy seating collection is the Gino pouf.

All seating pieces are available in a variety of fabrics, which can be chosen from a number of options from Meridiani’s collection.
Following this spirit of customization, Meridiani created the Wallis storage unit in two different finishes – glossy or matte lacquer, complemented by top material options such as marble, quartzite, travertine, back-painted glass or leather.
The sleek system has an inset top and handles creating a practical and elegant system. It can be manufactured in a variety of sizes allowing modular configurations that can fit a variety of rooms or workplaces. Some varieties function as chests of drawers, while others have the drawers swinging out.
