Carlos Alkaraz believes that a family migration for Cancan was important to help him back.
Spaniereard went on a trip with his loved ones after his Miami open defeat in March, and he feels that it was important to remove his head from the court – despite the level of hate received to go on leave.
He said: “I had a lot of hate when I lost in Miami. After that, instead of practice, I took a break and I went to Cancan with my family. And I had a lot of hatred then, because a lot of people, you know, you say, as if what is happening to this man that he lost in the first round, and he did not practice better and he did not practice better?”
“And I think it was the key, just five, six days holiday, not catching a racket, don’t step into court. Just to go on vacation with my family, to close my mind, to think what I should do?”
