Leika has announced that L-mount alliance is growing. Chinese lens and accessory manufacturer Sirui (Pronunciation “Su-Ray”) Join the alliance, to do so became the ninth company. In addition to another lens manufacturer, the meaning is more option for those who use L-mount cameras.
Sirui is probably best known for its fair value anamorphic lens, which offers a marte inexpensive route to look cinematic compared to traditional options. The company already has a very healthy lineup of lenses in several series. It includes a relatively new Arora series, which currently only has only Arora 85 mm F1.4, the company’s first full-frame autofocus lens. Recently, Sirui launched a lineup of the Vision Prime Series, Full-frame cine lens. Outside the lens, the company also creates some tripod and lighting options.
For its share, Sirui says that it is “El-Mount Alliance Lens Ecosystem is ready to increase the ecosystem significantly.” The lens manufacturer already offers four L-mount lenses: two cine lenses and two anamorphic lenses. L-mount joining alliance means that there are more on the way, and, given what Sirui currently makes, it should add more variety to the L-mount lineup. “Our aim is to introduce a wide range of excellent, high-value Lens lens in the market,” said Sirui Optical founder and CEO Lee Ji.
Leica, Sigma, and Panasonic L-Mount are current members of the alliance that produce L-Mount lenses, but none of those offerings are enamorous lenses. Also, while there are options that work well for cinematography, no cine lens is dedicated. Given that the Blackmazic design joined the alliance in 2023, it is probably a welcome for the promise of more cine lenses on the way. Both companies shared no specific product announcements with the revelations of the partnership, however, only time will tell what would eventually happen on the table.

All lens made for various systems within the L-Mount Alliance can be used without adapters and on all cameras without any functional boundaries-it reflects one of the many benefits of common serious.
