For the third time in four years, Alks was in Vancouver for a kickoff concert. All three times, the musical print has been the best part for Green and Gold fans.
Other-half conflicts saw Edmonton with a four-point lead in an interval for a reduction of 17 points to Lions.
Here I have thoughts on the game.
Defense height and climb
This was a story of two parts for Double E protect. The first half did not break too much twist and there were two magnificent short-yard stops. There was a need to review the stop on the goal line, but the newcomer Zerid Brinkman broke the stop to get the stop. The second Edmonton came on a bizarre call to go on the 53-yard line on the third and two on two. This time Nick Anderson got a stop and my views on the seven in front proved to be correct.
In the second half, it was observed that aggression was punished. Edmonton was blaking on majority plays, but could not go home. The screen pass was an easy call for Buck Pierce to move the ball into the chunks. When he was not blissing, Nathan Rourke took advantage of a secondary playing his first game as a group. Maini Ragamba had a difficult night at half the place, out of which two to three BC touchdowns were following him.
Fatigue was a factor because the crime was not much on the field – about five minutes less than the BC. It was some great halftime adjustment by lions that changed the tide of the game.
Hard ford
The tray Ford had amazing moments, but overall there was a difficult night. They have only two-thirds of them, most of which are of low variety. He was not able to complete a touchdown and a blockage he threw a wound with Leos on the two-yard line.
“I threw a blockage that I was really crazy,” he said. “The ball just slipped from my hand and I threw it less. If I had a good grip on the ball, we would have completed that pass.”
Ford was not bowing to run, but was not afraid to use his legs. A total of 54 yards away was in the form of top alks rashar and his longest run did not appear on the stats sheet. Scratching behind the line on the third down, he ran close to 50 yards before searching for Justin Rankin Downfield. Ford can be magic but still needs to develop its vision of the region.
Running crisis
Last year, Edmonton was capable of bending at the excellent running game combination of Justin Rankin and Javon Leak. Neither can anyone go to this match. Ford left a lot of 29 yards at a distance of 29 yards at a distance of 29 yards at 10 and long situations.
Before the game, Brett Boyco’s right tackle and Martage Eveh was left in the third quarter, which was worth noting for the ongoing game. As the season, this new group will probably move, but the injuries will increase them. They will require Mark Evans II and Philip Grohovac to improve them further.
Actual return
For the first time in a long time, Alks had a real return game. Arkel Smith had a 41-yard average on the kick and showed some real speed as a young receiver.
Javon Leake also returned to the return game and a touchdown was taken from the board by an illegal block. This was the only return penalty for Elks and the overall feeling was a big step.
kick
Vincent Blancard was just playing his second regular season game. Both head coach Mark Kilam and General Manager Ed Harve were very high on the capacity of 2024 draft pick. He definitely sets foot and won the competition at a lump sum camp.
This was not his best night. We knew it would take some time to be comfortable, but certainly it was difficult to see the seven digits not to hit the board – two missed field goals and a missed all convert all the sailing only to the left. Patience is important with a young kicker, but it is difficult in a market that is hungry for both points and victory.
Edmonton has a goodbye week ahead as he prepares very difficult for home openers against Montreal Uloreats. A lot of work is to be done to clean and move forward.
