As a photographer and videographer/filmmaker, my bag requires a small LED light or two. I have accumulated 5 or 6 in the last few years, eager to try different brands and light styles. Recently, I came into a relatively new brand called Harlo. He only started a pocket-shaped light called Iris 5 Spectra.
The weight of the light is only 0.35 pounds, saves 300 lumen shine, and fits into your pocket. There are 36,000 colors to choose to help add some mood to a photo or video shoot, and the manufacturer kit comes with an array of enclosure to help you modify the light, including a magic lens, adjustable lens, aperture ring, stressnell lens and frosted dome. They are all magnetically attached. You get a soft cloth bag to keep them while traveling.
Multiple uses
IRIS 5 is a useful tool for spectra photographers and videographers. I have been using it for about a month now, and find it as the right travel light to pop in your backpack or slings bag.
The light can be controlled through an app, has an IP54 rating, and comes with two 1/4-inch screw threads so that you can easily attach it to a small trip. There is also a V-mount connector. All this combines to be an ideal light to move out for macro photography.
For videographers, mount the light on your camera with a cold shoe adapter (not included) to fill something to fill something when shooting the video.
There is a convenient USB-C port to recharge the underlying battery.
The impressive selection of mild modifiers in the kit allows for creative control when everything is shot from pictures to food. I am using the magic lens the most. It is a crystal dome that breaks light and creates an important pattern. It also has a telescope functionality. It adds texture and interest. I greatly affected a client food project with it, and a variety of product shots. The light has an impressively strong magnetic ring, and all accessories are so well attached, and also magnets. You can make 2-3 pieces for complete control and endless creative options. Very calm.
Because the light is very small, this journey is perfect for photography. I often want to add some fill light or create some mood when shooting environmental images, or shoot a plate of food in a dark restaurant. This light solves those problems.
good design
The first thing is that when I opened the box, I was killed how beautifully everything has been made. It not only looks incredibly high-ended, the details and attention to the quality of all the pieces are top quality. So many small lights are cheap and plastic. This is not one – it is aluminum. It combines beautiful aesthetics, thoughtful functionality and quality construction. As a result, something has happened that has a pleasure to use in a class of its own, and quite clearly.
