A hackathon plan for the manufacture of ‘Mega API’ for IRS data

Government Efficiency Department of Elon Musk (Dog) Plan Host a hackathon next week According to Wired, a focus on the manufacture of a “mega API”, which would provide access to taxpayer data.

Wired says Hackathon is being organized by two Dogi employees in the Internal Revenue Service – Gavin Cligar and Sam Korcos, who are also CEOs at healthtech startup levels. Korcos is reportedly telling others in Dogi that his goal is to create “a new API to rule all of them”.

This will make it easier for cloud providers to access IRS data, including taxpayer’s name, address, social security numbers, tax returns and employment information, which can be exported to all external systems. According to Wired, a third-party party vendor would manage parts of the project, with Palantir “continuously” brought as a candidate.

An anonymous IRS worker allegedly told Wired, “This is an open door controlled by Kasturi for the most sensitive information of all Americans, not any rules that generally protect that data.”
