A backlog in Commerce Department is allegedly stopping NVIDIA’s H20 chip license


Earlier in July, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutynik gave chipmakers like NVIDIA Green Light to start selling some AI chips in ChinaBut their department is asked to catch things.

As Reuters reportingNVIDIA has not yet received licenses to sell its H20 AI chips.

The US Department of Commerce is currently sitting on a backlog of licensing applications due to the upheaval within the department, with large -scale employees’ loss and a break in communication with the industry, with per roatters.

It comes as a grip National security experts are urging The Trump administration to ban NVidia from selling its H20 AI chips to China on national security basis.
