National Press Photographer Association AP condemns the White House to ban journalists

National Press Photographer Association (NPPA) released a statement White House condemned for Indefinite sanctions it was released to Associated Press (AP) journalists Last week.

On Friday, AP was banned from White House and Air Force One Because it has not converted its stybuk entry into the Gulf of America for the Gulf of Mexico. As a global organization, AP believes that the United States government changed its naming conference to the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of the US, but other countries in which it operates and the report does not accept this change. As a result, AP still refers to it as the Gulf of Mexico, while also in mind the decree of President Trump that it is called the Gulf of America.

While AP photographers were not part of this ban, it sets an example that NPPA condemns.

“Such tasks are unacceptable as an attempt in pre -restraint, and the first amendment of AP and its journalists, a banging vengeance and chilling abridine, who participated as part of the tight pool covered for decades covering the President for decades Is. Its reporting at Associated Press and White House is dependent by thousands of news organizations around the world, which reach billions of people, ” NPPA writes,

The purpose of NPPA is to directly argue for AP’s ban.

“An baseless claim by a spokesperson of the White House, ‘Associated Press continues to ignore the legitimate geographical name change of the Gulf of America, and that’ this decision is not only divisive, but it also exposed the commitment of the Associated Press Does ‘misinformation,’ not only wrong, but also calls the facts wrong. The power of the Trump administration does not reach independent news organizations on government agencies.

The NPPA says that it supports journalists and their right to control their content “without the approach-based punishment from the government.” The organization requests that the White House AP reinforces its “unconstitutional stance” by restoring the reach of journalists.
