Motor racing has a long tradition as an incubator of technology. AI is the latest example because tech companies have flooded the game as partners, helping teams to use AI in improving performance.
An example is that the F1 increasingly uses AI in its TV and online coverage to provide insight and material for fans.
The FIA is also being found in the Act; This week it was announced that AI would now help the officials of the F1 race and play a role in sensitive decisions on such track-limit breeches and analysis of race events.
So what is AI already affecting F1? Where can it join the future? And should it be a limit about how far it goes?
We hear from a panel of industry experts: CEO of Smedley Group, Rob Smedley, Director of East F1 data systems and a pre-farery and Williams engineer; Which Carol, General Manager, Telco, Media, Entertainment, Sports and Sports, Amazon web services; And Stephen Timpano, CEO Aspire, who runs the A2RL autonomous racing league, where AI coders are stars.
