US President Joe Biden “deliberately” retained classified documents after leaving the vice presidency, a Justice Department report said.
Biden rejected the report’s claims about his qualifications to hold the office.
Special counsel Robert Hur said he decided not to pursue criminal charges because Biden cooperated with their investigation and would likely prove a sympathetic defendant at trial.
Hur wrote, “We have considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden will likely present himself to the jury, as he did during our interview, as a sympathetic, well-intentioned, elderly man with a failing memory. In.”
