It’s very rare to find someone like that.” After doing hair for a quarter century, Wallace has become the go-to ‘if-you-know’ contact for creating fake hair without the damage.
Wallace, calling from her car on the set, recalls meeting Bieber for the first time. “I just remember she was so beautiful and adorable,” she says of the days when Bieber (then Baldwin) wanted to add some length to bleached hair. “What I love about Hailey is that she’s always on the super ethereal side, she has her own head of beautiful hair, and when she goes blonde, she looks like, Let’s go a little further in small layersAnd we did that. In the years since, “I’ve been able to help her with all the trendsetting she does. She can have a bob and then want to go just two inches longer the next season, and we can do it with ease, making it look as natural as possible. Part of Wallace’s success is in the technique (she plans to launch a masterclass to share her secrets) that respects that What’s needed with extensions is real hair growing in, and part of that is the ultrafine Eastern European Remy human hair she uses for the nearly invisible extensions.
Her top request is individual extensions, which “probably 98%” of her clients use, and she describes it as “a tiny, tiny… imagine a grain of rice, and a hair attached to it.” In Wallace’s mind, “every girl has a set of clip-in extensions in her drawer,” and her Perlino offering of hand-tied tape-ins, luxe clip-ins, keratin tips and custom pieces will elevate the market to what she calls “the hair elite.”
When I tell her I’m not that girl and mostly know extensions of her highly searched damage control questions, she’s understanding. “You can interview any of my clients and they will all say, oh my god my hair is better,” says Wallace, noting that the maximum lifespan of an extension head before an update should be about 4 to 6 weeks. “My clients are usually pre-booked all year long – no matter where they are in the world, I go there to re-do them because we don’t want to leave this timeline to chance,” she explains. “When you leave them for too long, that’s when I lose a lot of money.”

Khloe Kardashian, who has been working with Wallace for “years and years”, happily affirms his work (“I have complete confidence in him”) and his “undeniable” talent. “She has a blessed gift,” says Kardashian. From the “heart and soul” she instills in clients to the “magic that is Priscilla,” Kardashian is another true believer. “Priscilla understands that hair isn’t just about beauty; it’s about confidence, identity and a sense of being your best. For me, hair is my security blanket, but I also love exploring different styles, and Priscilla makes all my hair fantasies come true.” Wallace views Kardashian as “the most daring client” she works with, and the many different looks she has achieved have been made possible by collaboration and trust. “Where all the trust comes in is that the integrity of my client’s hair is my number one priority,” says Wallace. “So once they see there’s no damage, it feels like the sky’s the limit with different looks.” Now, Kardashian is “so excited that she’s launched her own extensions brand.”
