Hi Eileenke, I would like to help clarify a misunderstood concept.
Negation does not mean that the questioner’s factor is combined with another planet. Rather, it means that before the questioner’s factor (the person or thing being asked about) can make a perfect aspect with the questioner’s factor, another planet enters and first makes a perfect aspect with the questioner’s factor.
To illustrate with an example: Imagine you see an object in front of you and move towards it to pick it up, but someone else reaches out and grabs it before you can do so – this is what we call inhibition.
There are many forms of negation – it can be through conjunction, aspect, retrograde (refraction).
Since the Moon moves faster than any other planet, prohibitions rarely occur in matters related to it. However, we still need to carefully examine the specific circumstances in the chart.
And in answer to Moonela’s question – I always look at which house the planets rule, because houses are the soul of horror astrology. While choosing the factors, we have to select the suitable house first.
