mclaren Racing CEO Jack Brown says the team will remain focused on the next race as discussions once again build on the team’s dynasty building following a 10th Constructors’ Championship ahead of the 2026 regulation change.
The American discussed the team’s success under the leadership of Andrea Stella, and said his ambitions are simple: the next race is always the most important.
“Do we want to build a McLaren dynasty and leave a legacy? Of course we do,” He said“But it’s like Andrea says: ‘You don’t race trying to create a legacy, you show up every weekend, focus on what you need to do that weekend, and then, the results and the history books take care of themselves.’
“Next year, with new rules, is going to be even stricter. This year, we had the benefit of working within the rules we knew. But now we are entering a new era, with one of the biggest regulation changes in the history of F1 – which comes with a lot of risk and a lot of opportunity.”
McLaren has undergone drastic changes since the start of the 2023 season, when it was at the back of the grid. In less than two years, its performance has increased and it has become one of the two fastest cars in the current Formula 1 season.

driver pair oscar piastri And lando norris Have proven to be a solid duo, the team has 650 points, double the mercedesWhich is currently in second place. But next year could be a different story.
F1 is introducing a new set of rules, including a redesigned aerodynamic concept and revised power unit that balances the internal combustion engine with electric motor power. Despite McLaren’s dominance this year, there is no need to say that it will not struggle next year. But history keeps repeating itself.
The team has won 12 drivers’ championships and has now won 10 constructors’ titles since Bruce McLaren started the team in 1963. With recent investments in wind tunnel and simulation infrastructure, as well as a new three-dimensional approach to its technical management introduced by Andrea Stella, the Woking organization is poised for success. It goes into 2026 with confidence, and although dynasty is not the goal, this may simply be the result of focusing on the next race.
