In the past year, I’ve unexpectedly found myself immersed in the wedding industry. However, I am not complaining. To my surprise, I got the chance to attend beautiful runway shows and meet many talented designers one-on-one. It also took me on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Amanoi, Vietnam for Kaiha’s Fall 2026 runway show.
Kyha is an Australia-based bridalwear brand that creates apparel for the fashion-forward bride who isn’t afraid to challenge traditional boundaries. (It’s also launching a ready-to-wear collection in November.) Founder and creative director Kaiha Scott launched the brand in 2011 after becoming frustrated with overly traditional clothing. wedding dress While searching for himself he faced such choices. In Vietnam, I had the chance to sit down with her and get her insight on her new collection, Waterlines. bridal dress trends He is expected to take over in the fall of 2026.
“There used to be a certain formality a wedding or a way that you Needed dress, but now, brides are breaking all those rules and doing what’s right for them expected (To do or wear),” she tells me. “It is becoming so prevalent that we are seeing different outfits, e.g. bridal suitAnd in color too.” His Fall 2026 collection—inspired by Vietnam’s flora, fauna, landscape, and craftsmanship—clearly reflects that shift.
When it comes to color, many of the pieces on the runway featured a deep ivory, which Scott believes will be prominent in autumn 2026. “Bright ivory has a very strong presence in the market, but now, I see it leaning more toward darker ivory,” she says. “I think we’ll see even more brides getting into that color, which… I think it’s a bold choice.” While the collection featured many ivory moments, it also included a bright green called Bitter Lime. “Green is a big part of the landscape here (in Vietnam), so I really wanted to work within that color scheme and popularize the collection,” she says. “Working with this color can be challenging, but I love a challenge.”
Other bridal trends Scott’s prediction will include popular lace dressThey feature draped details, and an overall focus on texture. Of the 19 looks, nine included lace and two included feathers. “The brand doesn’t believe in using feathers, but I love the texture of it, so we worked very hard, and it’s been in development for a long time, to craft their laser-cut organza and then hand-sewn it to create the feather-like look, lightness and texture while still being durable,” she says. It may be controversial, but basques and drop-waist silhouettes are starting to look overdone in wedding fashion. That’s why it was refreshing to see Kyha reinterpret this dramatic shape with a new perspective, focusing on the reverse-V waist. This was demonstrated in her River Dress, crafted from ivory duchess satin and flashy burnished gold. It delivers the same drama and princess effect in a refreshing way. Expect to see more of this style between now and the end of 2026.

Kaiha has incorporated the sweetheart neckline in some of her previous collections, but for Fall 2026, the silhouette really shines. This time, the design takes inspiration from the lotus flower, as stated in the brand’s press release. The flower is a symbol with deep cultural meaning in Vietnam, representing purity, strength and resilience. While the neckline dates back to the early 20th century, Kaiha reinterpreted the design through a modern, fashion-forward lens, making it feel fresh, elevated, and definitely intentional.
