A Palm Springs residence is re -designed with art at its core

When designer Neena fredenberger A Palm springs, the California residence was asked to re -write for a pair of customers for a long time, the project appeared less as a renewal and more as a dialogue – with an existing architecture, with a desert, and most especially, with the stored art collection of customers. Preventing the possibility of major construction, the house became a study in creative restraint Fredenberger design studio The requirement of thoughtful furniture options, micro -physicality, and a disciplined palette to transform the existing structure individually.

The art collection of customers quickly became – and remains – the soul of the project. Instead of competing with it, Fredenburger contacted the interiors, which she says “decorated up to 92 per cent” – a philosophy of restraint that leaves the place to breathe and develop for art. Gallery -like walls, a lighter and neutral palette, and allowed the movable furniture collection to take the center phase, while customers give flexibility to display as their taste.

Freedenberger said, “It is important not to overwhelm a place,”

In a city celebrated for the modernism of the mid -century, Fredenberger opposed the temptation to bend into familiar trops. Instead, she looked at the post-modern effects, layered with her signature mixture of Scandinavian sensitivity and calcaneia ease. The result seems to be contemporary that a crisp is still inherit in context for modern beauty that accepts the design heritage of Palm springs, without defining it.

Climate, also, was an effect. Heavy bouquets and dense clothing are launched in favor of breathable, light-vision materials that reflect the ventilated quality of the desert. Rift-Son oak, Roman soil walls, and golden wheat tons heat space, while cool blondes and minimal gestures lend balance. At its core, the redisine is more than aesthetics. The house should support life comfortably for both people and pets, accidentally up to a formal opportunity. Durable, stained fabric and practical floor options make the house alive without renouncing sophistication. Natural light, an abundant desert resource, is exploited with unaffected fenstation by the treatment of heavy window. This ensures that in the morning and evening, they are considered equally in their ability to change inside the house, preparing one type of ideas.

The designer says, “This balance – celebrating the magic of natural light while creating a comfortable environment at any time – was important.”

The Palm Springs residence is both calm and vibrant: a crisp canvas for art, a comfortable shelter for everyday life, and a welcome, light environment that makes clearly felt about its location and time. It gives an example of the ethos of the Fredenberger Design Studios, which are equally responsible for the champion spaces which are equally responsible for customers and architecture, not by intervention, but by thoughtful, intentional design.

Here, he leads art. The design is as follows, not in respect, but in conversation – evidence that sometimes the most compelling interiors are those who leave enough space for art and objection to talk.
