When designer Neena fredenberger A Palm springs, the California residence was asked to re -write for a pair of customers for a long time, the project appeared less as a renewal and more as a dialogue – with an existing architecture, with a desert, and most especially, with the stored art collection of customers. The art collection of customers quickly became – and remains – the soul of the project. In a city celebrated for the modernism of the mid -century, Fredenberger opposed the temptation to bend into familiar trops. Instead, she looked at the post-modern effects, layered with her signature mixture of Scandinavian sensitivity and calcaneia ease. The result seems to be contemporary that a crisp is still inherit in context for modern beauty that accepts the design heritage of Palm springs, without defining it.
