British circulation Rohe has been hailed as an under-the-radar brand praised by London and New York-based editors. A quick scroll through the brand’s tagged photos on Instagram confirms that this secretive Amsterdam-based label has quietly become an influencer and It-girl mainstay.
Rohe will appeal to those who love The Row and Totem, as it focuses on tailoring and beautifully constructed basics. It is a relative newcomer and was founded in 2021 Marieke Meulendijks and Maikel Wiers, who wanted to create a timeless collection that transcends seasons and fickle trend cycles. “Rohe focuses on an unexpected edge, exceptional Italian fabrics and uncompromising quality,” the brand’s website states. Black blazers, tailored shorts and maxi skirts are key pieces in every collection and will make you feel like Caroline Bessette-Kennedy.
You don’t need to be a minimalist to appreciate these foundational pieces. Although it is simply built, the construction still has architectural quality. The gray crewneck sweater, for example, is cut at the shoulder with the arms wrapping around the chest, and the blouse features artful draping with waves, folds and twists used to create a flattering silhouette. Since it’s available at Net-a-Porter and Nordstrom, you don’t have to travel to Europe to get your hands on the latest buzzy brand.
